Essential Responsibilities:

The Gulfstream G600 Captain is responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the aircraft, ensuring all flights are conducted in strict accordance with Solairus Aviation's policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the overall safe operation of the Gulfstream G600 aircraft.
  • Reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status before each flight.
  • Performing thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Conducting comprehensive checks of weather conditions and facilities along the planned route, including alternate airports.
  • Ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew throughout the flight.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork following current procedures.

Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:

  • Total time: 3000 hours
  • Pilot in Command (PIC): 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) PIC: 500 hours
  • Time in Turbo Jet aircraft: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Possession of a Type Rating on the Gulfstream G600 or a comparable aircraft type.
  • Requires a current First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Ability to work effectively on an on-call basis.
  • Must successfully complete ICAO International procedures training annually.
  • Primary residence must be within a two-hour drive from KOSU airport or the candidate must be willing to relocate.

Solairus Aviation offers competitive compensation based on market conditions, sourced from multiple industry benchmarks. Salary ranges for Solairus crewmembers typically fall between $50,000 and $500,000 annually. Specific compensation within this range is determined by factors including geographic area, experience level, aircraft type/equipment, specific job duties, training background, and the assigned account.
