Position Overview
Solairus Aviation is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Full-Time Gulfstream G650 Captain to join its elite flight operations team based at San Jose International Airport (KSJC) in San Jose, California. Essential Responsibilities and Duties
The Gulfstream G650 Captain will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key duties:
- Serving as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for the Gulfstream G650 aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.
- Executing flight operations in a prudent and professional manner, strictly adhering to Solairus Aviation's established policies and procedures, along with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and international aviation standards.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight preparations, including comprehensive review of aircraft maintenance status, meticulous pre-flight inspections per the approved Aircraft Flight Manual, and detailed assessment of weather conditions, routes, and airport facilities, including alternate airports.
- Safeguarding the well-being of all passengers, aircraft, and crew throughout all phases of flight.
- Accurately completing and submitting all required trip documentation and paperwork in compliance with current company procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Prospective candidates must meet the following experience and certification requirements:
Flight Experience:
- A minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time.
- A minimum of 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- A minimum of 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time.
- A minimum of 500 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL) PIC time.
- A minimum of 500 hours in Turbojet aircraft.
- A minimum of 250 hours instrument time.
Specific Certifications and Requirements:
- Possession of a current and valid First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
- Must hold a Gulfstream G650 type rating, or type rating on a comparable large cabin business jet with the ability to obtain the G650 type rating.
- Ability to perform duties on an on-call basis, accommodating a flexible schedule inherent to private aviation.
- Commitment to completing annual ICAO International procedures training.
- Primary residence must be within a two-hour drive of San Jose International Airport (KSJC) or willingness to relocate to the vicinity.

This range is determined by various factors including geographic location, extensive experience, aircraft type, specific job duties, specialized training, and the assigned account.
