Solairus Aviation seeks a highly motivated and experienced Full-Time Flight Attendant to join its operation based in Santa Ana, California. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated team player with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and a passion for culinary excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a superior level of service to clients, prioritizing the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight.
  • Explain the use of safety equipment and expertly serve food and beverages.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to passengers in emergency situations.
  • Ensure that first aid kits and other emergency equipment are operational.
  • Secure the cabin in accordance with federal regulations before takeoff and landing.
  • Administer basic first aid to passengers in need.
  • Reassure passengers during turbulent conditions.
  • Greet passengers and assist with their belongings.
  • Assist passengers during boarding and disembarkation, identifying and addressing the needs of children, seniors, or passengers with disabilities.
  • Conduct preflight briefings.
  • Verify the presence and sufficiency of supplies, including food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other necessities.
  • Facilitate and manage passenger requests for food and drink.
  • Procure any items specifically requested by passengers for their flight.
  • Prepare and serve food for both passengers and crew.
  • Inspect, clean, and stock the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight leg.
  • Ensure the aircraft is meticulously cleaned and fully stocked for every flight.
  • Complete preflight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork.
  • Regularly patrol the cabin to ensure passenger comfort and maintain cleanliness.
  • Operate audio and video systems.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • First Aid Training Certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
  • Flight attendant training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or a comparable institution is preferred. Annual recurrent training is required. Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on other qualifications but must complete initial flight attendant training before flight assignment. Preference is given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the past 12 months.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Technological proficiency.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and patience.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages is a plus.
  • Proven culinary skills and culinary training are essential.
  • Ability to manage a fluctuating schedule and late-night flights.
  • Experience working with small children is preferred.
  • Availability for short-notice flights (2-3 hour response time for standby).
  • Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide.
  • Ability to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
  • Proficiency in operating all features of the Cabin Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in operating all galley equipment.
  • Proficiency in operating all cabin features, including berthing seats and configuring the divan into a bed.

Specific Qualifications/Certifications:

  • Vision: Must have vision correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses (uncorrected no worse than 20/20). Must be able to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and utilize computers, smartphones, and/or iPads.
  • Hearing/Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly. Must be able to hear effectively to engage in phone conversations and in-person interactions with clients and colleagues/pilots while the aircraft is in flight.
  • Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable of walking and standing without assistance. Must be able to stand for extended periods (up to 14 hours) with limited opportunity to sit, and must be comfortable working long hours in diverse climates.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be able to kneel in the luggage compartment to load trip supplies, AC equipment, and luggage, and must be agile enough to navigate tight spaces within the aircraft.
  • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must be able to push open/pull closed the main cabin door, weighing up to 130 pounds. Must also be able to write, type, use a computer and a phone, as well as prepare, cook, and serve guest food and beverages. Must be able to lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds, from floor level to waist high, repeatedly.

Additional Information:

Salary for Solairus crewmembers ranges from $50,000 to $500,000, determined by factors such as geographic area, experience, equipment type/aircraft, job duties, training, and the assigned account.
