Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G550
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Pilot in Command to join our growing team. This position is based at KSTP airport in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Purpose of the Position:
The Pilot in Command will hold ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a Gulfstream G550 aircraft. This position involves primarily domestic flights under Part 91 regulations, with occasional international leisure travel. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers while adhering to all company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Comply with all company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Conduct flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each flight.
- Utilize Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with company personnel as necessary.
- Act as Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator according to company policy.
- Complete thorough pre-flight inspections, including maintenance checks, to ensure the aircraft is mission-capable.
- Document all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Monitor and ensure proper ground servicing (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
- Conduct passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations.
- Deliver the highest level of customer service and accommodate any special needs of passengers.
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Provide high-quality service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Investigate and resolve service deviations promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience for owners and passengers.
- Effectively resolve conflicts and challenges in a professional manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Comply with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program.
- Report safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License.
- First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4-6 years of experience as a Pilot in Command.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type Rating in the Gulfstream G550.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours.
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours.
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours.
- PIC MEL: 500 hours.
- Instrument: 300 hours.
- Jet: 500 hours.
- Strong international oceanic flight experience.
- Current G550 Type Rating.
