Purpose of Position
EJM is seeking highly qualified candidates for a Pilot in Command (PIC) position based in St. Paul, Minnesota (KSTP). This position operates a G550 aircraft within a four-pilot account and is supported by two full-time Maintenance Technicians. Flight operations are conducted under Part 91 regulations and primarily consist of domestic travel, with occasional international leisure trips.
The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This includes adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience.
Responsibilities
- Safety of Flight:
- Ensure all crewing and trip assignments comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct meticulous flight planning, performance analysis, and weight and balance calculations for each flight.
- Employ the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to effectively lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain clear communication with relevant company personnel.
- Act as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as outlined in company policy.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight inspections, including verifying aircraft maintenance status, to guarantee mission readiness. Document any discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Oversee and ensure the completion of all ground servicing tasks (fueling, oil, oxygen, etc.) according to SOPs.
- Deliver thorough passenger briefings adhering to company policy and regulations. Provide the highest level of customer service and accommodate any special passenger needs.
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to maintain clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
- Exceptional Service Delivery:
- Provide superior service to aircraft owners and passengers while actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Proactively investigate and resolve service deviations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistent and positive service experience.
- Employ professional conflict resolution skills to address and resolve challenges effectively.
- Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Adhere to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and report any safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- First Class Medical Certificate
- 4-6 years of relevant experience
- Prior corporate/business aviation experience preferred
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
