Job Summary
As the world’s leading exploration and production energy company, ConocoPhillips transports over 140,000 passengers annually in support of worldwide business interests and operations. Our Global Aviation group operates worldwide and has an expansive fleet consisting of Gulfstream G550, Gulfstream 600, Citation Latitude, Bombardier Q400, Twin Otter and a Casa 212 aircraft.
We are seeking a Gulfstream Captain to join our Global Aviation Team based in Houston, TX
Job Description
Your responsibilities may include:
-
Works with Department management to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer service
-
Provides leadership and guidance to Department flight crews ensuring safety standards and performance are maintained to the highest level
-
Ensures compliance with Department operating policies and procedures as described in the FOM
-
Conducts themselves in a confident, professional and courteous manner
-
Readily adapts to changing schedules
-
Performs all operations pertaining to flight, including effective flight planning, developing contingency plans; calculates weight and balance, obtains, reviews and interprets weather forecasts and applicable NOTAMS
-
Ensures that all permits, authorizations, ARO's, etc. have been obtained and the necessary documents are on-hand for the flight
-
Ensures passenger service requirements have been met
-
Maintains close contact with the Scheduling Department regarding any changes to the flight schedule and any additional requirements that may develop during the trip
-
Coordinates any additional services that may become necessary during the trip

Completes Flight Risk Assessment
-
Performs aircraft pre-flights and post-flights
-
Assists in the loading of passengers, baggage and cargo
-
Completes records and appropriate entries in aircraft logbooks and operations forms
-
Operates the aircraft in accordance to all applicable regulations and policies
-
Has the ability and willingness to travel and remain in locations other than the assigned home station for extended periods of time
Basic/Required:
-
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
-
Current/valid driver’s license
-
Current/valid Passport with no restrictions to international travel
-
Current/valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot License
-
Current/valid FAA First Class Medical Certification
-
Current/valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
-
Pass Transportation Security Administration screening for access to restricted airspace and airports
-
5+ years of documented aviation experience
-
4000 hours total flight time
-
1500 hours turbojet flight time
-
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to physically lift up to 75 pounds
-
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 75% of the time on a yearly basis
Preferred:
-
Bachelor's degree or higher in Aviation, Aeronautics, other related field, or foreign equivalent
-
Experience in military VIP, corporate or business aviation flight operations
-
Type rated with 500 hours in Gulfstream 550 or 600
-
Experience in an advanced technology cockpit with EFIS and FMS systems
-
World-wide flight experience
-
Proficient with computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
-
Proficient speaking, reading and writing English
-
Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what is right

Delivers positive results through realistic planning to accomplish goals

Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical

Position is contingent upon the successful completion of all required initial or recurrent training and proficiency checks appropriate to the aircraft type

Zero history of drug or alcohol related incidents

Successful completion of a pre-employment physical evaluation

Successful completion of all background requirement checks
