Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensures the safe and secure operation of the Challenger 605 aircraft.
• Conducts flights prudently and safely, adhering to all applicable regulations and procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Thorough review of the aircraft's maintenance status prior to flight.
  • Execution of a comprehensive pre-flight inspection as outlined in the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Detailed assessment of weather conditions and facility availability along the planned route and at alternate airports.
  • Ensures flight operations comply with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and all pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Prioritizes and safeguards the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and the flight crew.
  • Accurately completes all required trip documentation in accordance with established protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Total Flight Time: 3,000 hours
• Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL) PIC Time: 500 hours
• Turbo Jet Flight Time: 500 hours
• Instrument Flight Time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

• Type rating specifically on the Challenger 605 or a comparable aircraft type.
• Possession of a current First Class Medical Certificate.
• Availability to work on an on-call basis.
• Successful completion of annual ICAO International procedures training.
• Must reside within a two-hour commute of KSJC or demonstrate willingness to relocate.
