Gulfstream G550 Captain - New York Metro

Solairus Aviation seeks a qualified Gulfstream G550 Captain for a full-time position based in the New York Metro area. This role is responsible for the safe and expert operation of the aircraft while ensuring client travel needs are met with the highest standards of safety, service, and integrity.

About the Role

The Gulfstream G550 Captain will oversee all aspects of flight operations for the aircraft. Key responsibilities include reviewing aircraft maintenance status, conducting thorough pre-flight inspections according to the approved Aircraft Flight Manual, and meticulously planning flights by assessing weather conditions, route details, and alternate airports. The captain will ensure all flights adhere to Solairus Aviation policies, Federal Aviation Regulations, and prioritize the safety of passengers, the aircraft, and the crew. Accurate completion of all trip paperwork is also a critical duty.

Requirements

• Total flight time: 3,000 hours
• Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time: 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time: 1,500 hours
• MEL PIC time: 500 hours
• Time in Turbo Jet aircraft: 500 hours
• Instrument flight time: 250 hours

Qualifications

• Type rating on the Gulfstream G550 or a comparable aircraft is required.
• A first-class medical certificate is mandatory.
• Availability to work on an on-call basis.
• Must complete annual ICAO International procedures training.
• Primary residence must be within a 2-hour drive of New York Metro area airports, or a willingness to relocate is required.
