Key Responsibilities
The First Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Conducting thorough reviews of aircraft maintenance status to verify airworthiness prior to flight.
- Performing comprehensive pre-flight inspections in strict adherence to the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Evaluating meteorological conditions and airport facilities, including designated alternate airports, for all planned routes.
- Ensuring all flights are conducted in full compliance with Silver Air's operational policies and procedures, as well as all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Prioritizing and ensuring the paramount safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew members.
- Accurately completing and submitting all required trip documentation in accordance with Silver Air's established protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this First Officer role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum Flight Experience:
- 1,500 hours total flight time in all aircraft.
- 1,000 hours multi-engine flight time.
- 500 hours total turbine time (preferred).
- Certifications & Authorizations:
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate (required).
- Previous Part 135 operational experience (preferred).
- Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted commercial pilot travel to/from Canada.
- Professional Skills:
- Exceptional customer service and strong interpersonal skills.
- Superior verbal and written communication abilities, consistently demonstrating professionalism with all levels of employees and clients.
- High degree of organization, meticulous attention to detail, and adaptability to dynamic operational environments and frequently shifting priorities.
