Jet Turbine Pilot - Redding, CA
Sierra Pacific Industries, a third-generation family-owned company and one of the largest lumber and millwork producers in the United States, is seeking a qualified Jet Turbine Pilot to join its growing flight department (Part 91) in Redding, California. The Flight Department operates and maintains a fleet of modern business aircraft, including Gulfstream G500, Hawker 4,000's, Pilatus PC24, and Bell 429.
About the Position:
- Functions as the Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) for assigned aircraft.
- Ensures all flight and ground operations comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and Company policy.
- Analyzes weather conditions and makes decisions regarding potential delays, rerouting, or flight cancellations.
- Performs all inspections and pre-flight checks to ensure the aircraft is safely prepared for operation.
- Prioritizes the comfort and safety of passengers and crew members.
- Assists with dispatching functions related to airport and fuel requirements.
- Manages refueling and coordinates servicing of the aircraft.
- Accurately logs flight information, including time in flight, altitude flown, and fuel consumed.
- Understands all airport and Company security requirements and maintains necessary clearances and training.
- Represents the Company by demonstrating and promoting professionalism and exceptional customer service.
- Builds and maintains effective interpersonal relationships with management and regular passengers.
- Assists with ground transportation arrangements for passengers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a jet pilot, with a current Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and FAA First Class Medical certificate.
- 2 years of Part 91 and/or Part 135 experience.
- Minimum 1,500 turbine flight hours.
- No FAA sanctions or accidents in the last 5 years.
- Preference given to candidates type-rated for Company aircraft.
- Solid understanding of FAA Part 91 regulations, weather conditions, and air traffic control.
- Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to meet changing schedules and operational demands.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including occasional multi-day trips away from home.

General Wage Range:
The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, dependent upon relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and/or education.
