Position Summary

Jet Aviation Staffing is seeking a professional G500 Captain to join a worldwide flight department. The successful candidate will perform responsibilities as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC), prioritizing passenger safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Operate private company aircraft safely and proficiently in compliance with FAA regulations and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Execute comprehensive flight planning, including route selection, fuel calculations, weather analysis, and NOTAM reviews.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, ensuring airworthiness and accurate calculation of weight and balance for passengers and cargo.
  • Utilize the Flight Risk Assessment Tool to identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and logbook entries.
  • Collaborate within an agile environment to resolve complex issues and draft/update SOPs and job aids.
  • Participate actively in the Safety Management System (SMS) program.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding workload, priorities, and process improvements.

Education & Licenses

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent educational hours/technical school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Commercial Multi-Engine Land Certificate and Instrument Airplane rating (ATP or ATP-CTP Course completion preferred).
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certification.
  • G500 Type Rating preferred.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time (TT).
  • Minimum 1,000 hours multiengine airplane flight time (jet or turboprop).
  • At least 4 years of commercial or private flight experience involving advanced EFIS and FMS cockpit systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong cognitive abilities, including abstract reasoning, problem-solving, and rapid learning capacity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and technical reporting/data visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of management and build professional relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule (Monday through Sunday) with long hours and frequent overnight travel.
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally for worldwide operations.
  • Commitment to service excellence and high self-motivation.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $230,000 to $250,000, determined by candidate experience and relevant factors. The offering client provides a competitive benefits package, including health coverage and a 401(k) plan.
