Schedule Full time
As our Flight Attendant in one of 10 base locations, you will have the ability to go anywhere while you help people have an incredible travel experience. In most cases, you’ll begin working on a 12-hour on-call schedule that may include holidays, nights, and weekends. (Don’t worry; schedules are based on seniority and within one to two years, you will begin to have more control over your schedule.) When you get an assignment, you’ll have two hours to get to your base airport and onto the plane where you will complete pre-flight inspection and check in with the crew before boarding.
You get to create special moments for first-time flyers and regulars. Most travelers do everything digitally and flight attendants are often the person they will talk to. They will rely on you for questions, safety, snacks, and more throughout their flight experience. We’ll rely on you to make that moment memorable for all the right reasons.
What We Are Looking For
* To thrive in this role, you must have experience working in a customer service or hospitality role with all types of people. You know how to be kind and calming even in the face of a challenge.
* Your schedule is flexible to be on-call. You can go to Indianapolis for 3 weeks to attend and then pass a series of exams to complete flight attendant training (which we will pay for). In flight attendant training, you will learn first aid, CPR, evacuation procedures, firefighting, and self-defense. There are 8 exams that require memorization and you will be expected to pass each one with a 90% or higher.
* You feel comfortable speaking in front of others and adapting your script based on the latest updates. You are also capable of pushing a cart that can weigh up to 250 pounds.
* You know how important it is to be reliable and dependable in the aviation field. We can’t take off without you so it’s absolutely critical that you respond to requests and show up on time, at times with just 2 hours’ notice.
* You have a valid passport, a facial piercing that can be removed, and no tattoos on your hands, ears, neck, or face.
* You are willing to serve alcohol, peanuts, beef, and pork.
* You are able to pass a required work history review and submit to criminal background, fingerprint checks, and drug testing.
