The Ravn Alaska First Officer is responsible for safely operating Company aircraft in compliance with regulations, established policies, and procedures. They share in the responsibility for ensuring the safety of all crewmembers, passengers, and cargo on board once the aircraft doors are closed. The First Officer reports to the Captain and works diligently to execute each flight safely and efficiently. The successful candidate has exceptional customer service skills, strong teamwork abilities, and meets all the necessary certifications and experience requirements. They must also be willing to be available within one hour of Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport when scheduled. Other qualifications include:
Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
Must meet the applicable Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) minimums specified in 14 CFR Part 61 for either an ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP).
Must have a valid First-Class Medical.
Must not have a record of any FAA ‘Certificate Action’ or ‘Administrative Action’ within the prior 24 months.
Must have a valid US Passport and be able to travel in and out of the US, including to Canada.
Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 65 lbs.
Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extreme temperatures.
Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
