Position Overview
The Pilot (First Officer) is entrusted with ensuring a superior air transportation experience, maintaining an exemplary safety record on every flight. Serving as the visual representation of NetJets, the Pilot provides not only technically proficient and safe transportation but also cultivates an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger. This role requires versatility, enabling the Pilot to embody multiple functions, from professional aviator to in-flight service provider, ultimately delivering a concierge-level service. The Pilot maintains ultimate command of the aircraft at all times and is expected to consistently uphold a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe operation of the aircraft through all phases of flight, including taxi, take-off, and landing, in strict adherence to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Welcome Owners/passengers pre-flight, conduct introductions, provide flight-specific briefings, verify itineraries, and offer updated weather information and safety briefings, explaining any itinerary adjustments.
- Deliver in-flight services as required, including the handling and serving of alcohol and catering.
- Responsibly load and properly stow all baggage on the aircraft.
- Accommodate flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Act as the ultimate authority on the aircraft regarding all operational aspects, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serve as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from the FBO arrival until safe landing and departure from the final FBO.
- Communicate any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the assigned fleet's Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Accurately complete all required documentation pertaining to maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Undertake other assigned duties as necessary based on specific assignments.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Possess an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating, including:
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- 1,500 hours of total flight time, or adjusted hours based on university R-ATP or military pilot qualifications.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time (>50 nm).
- 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with qualifying night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- Completed ATP written exam prior to indoctrination training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Hold a current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- Possess an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Hold a valid passport and be authorized to work in and travel in and out of the U.S. without restriction.
- Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated flexibility and the capacity to adapt to rapid changes.
- Ability to effectively manage personal rest to ensure preparedness for flight duty at all times.
- Availability for duty periods up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning multiple time zones and experiencing significant weather variations.
- Willingness to be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, residing in hotels.
- Ability to obtain required airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Successful completion of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) required background screening.
- Ability to read, write, and fluently speak and understand the English language.
- Exceptional service orientation with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a proven ability to make a positive impression.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with passengers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Demonstrated aptitude for making quick, accurate decisions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail, both technically and in passenger service.
- Physical capability to exert moderate force occasionally (up to 50 lbs) and frequently (up to 30 lbs) to move objects, and light force constantly (up to 10 lbs).
- Comfort and ability to work around animals, including their handling and care.
- Willingness to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
