Position Summary

Eastern Airlines is seeking highly skilled and dedicated aviation professionals for the critical role of First Officer. This position is a cornerstone of our flight crew, sharing responsibility with the Captain for the safe conduct of all flights, the welfare of passengers, and the security of cargo. The First Officer reports directly to the Chief Pilot and benefits from a minimum guaranteed schedule of seventy (70) hours per month.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an exemplary understanding of all relevant Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), possess superior communication skills, and embody the values and culture of Eastern Airlines while collaborating with fellow team members and customers in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary member of the flight crew, collaborating closely with the Captain to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.
  • Maintain operational responsibility to the Captain on all assigned flights.
  • Provide guidance and coordinate the activities of every individual connected with all phases of aircraft operation.
  • Ensure maintenance of a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, promptly notifying the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, or designee if any medical condition (physical or mental) impairs the ability to perform flight duties.
  • Execute all flight duties as assigned by the Captain.
  • Be prepared to assume the full authority and responsibilities of the Captain in the event of incapacitation.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the Captain's duties and responsibilities, accepting delegation as appropriate.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License.
  • Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate (or ability to obtain one prior to commencing training).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • An impeccable safety and training record.
  • Proficiency in English consistent with at least an ICAO Level 4 endorsement.
  • Must possess a valid passport, with the ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Eligible to work in the United States (e.g., US Passport holder or Green Card holder).
  • Ability to successfully pass comprehensive drug and alcohol background checks, a pre-employment DOT drug test, and a criminal history records check (CHRC).
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and perform under pressure in a dynamic operational setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Type rating on B-767/757 aircraft.
  • Previous B-767 FAR 121 experience.
  • Customer Resource Management (CRM) experience.
