About the Role

Eastern Airlines is actively recruiting a First Officer (FO) to join our esteemed flight crew. This crucial position is instrumental in ensuring the safety and operational integrity of every flight. The First Officer collaborates closely with the Captain, sharing responsibility for the well-being of passengers and cargo, and contributing to the safe and efficient conduct of all flight phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the highest standards of flight safety, working in tandem with the Captain to manage all aspects of aircraft operations.
  • Provide essential guidance and coordinate activities for all personnel involved in flight operations.
  • Maintain operational accountability to the Captain on all flights.
  • Ensure and maintain a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, promptly reporting any condition that may impair flight duties.
  • Execute all assigned flight duties as directed by the Captain.
  • Be prepared to assume Captain duties in the event of incapacitation.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Captain's responsibilities and accept delegated authority.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License.
  • Valid FAA First-Class Medical Certificate (or ability to obtain one prior to training).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • An exemplary safety and training record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a First Officer on a B-767 aircraft under FAR Part 121 operations.
  • Proficiency in Crew Resource Management (CRM).

Successful candidates often possess qualifications exceeding these minimum standards.

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work a bid schedule determined by seniority, including days, swings, midnight shifts, and holidays.
  • Willingness to travel as required by the role.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks, including drug and alcohol screenings, DOT drug tests, and criminal history record checks.
  • Possession of a valid passport.
  • English proficiency meeting at least ICAO Level 4 endorsement.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States (U.S. Passport holder or Green Card holder).
