Position Summary
The First Officer (Second-in-Command) reports to the Chief Pilot and is functionally responsible to the Pilot in Command (PIC). This role is vital to the safe operation of National Airlines aircraft, ensuring compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company policies. First Officers are expected to demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to mentorship as they prepare for potential career advancement.
Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain thorough familiarity with and adhere to all instructions and procedures detailed in company operational manuals.

Ensure full compliance with regulations set by the FAA, relevant foreign aviation authorities, and company policy.

Follow all clearances and directives issued by controlling agencies, including Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Ground Control.

Engage in continuous professional development and training for Captain upgrade by observing standard in-flight operating procedures and techniques.

Verify that all necessary forms and flight deck supplies are adequately stocked prior to each flight.

Perform the duties of a Relief Officer when assigned to a crew of three or more pilots.

Execute additional responsibilities as outlined in the National Airlines General Operations Manual.
Qualifications

Hold a current, unrestricted ATP certificate with an airplane category multi-engine class rating and English proficiency endorsement.

Possess a current FAA First Class medical certificate.

Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

Possess a valid U.S. passport with no restrictions on international travel.

Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Minimum of 2,000 flight hours.

Minimum of 500 hours of turbine time.

Minimum age of 23 (subject to FAA 121 mandatory retirement regulations).

Note: ATP issued with a "CIRC APCH-VMC Only" limitation is acceptable.

Current and qualified experience operating in Part 121, 135, or 91 environments is preferred.

Requires prolonged periods of sitting and the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
