Breeze Airways seeks experienced Lear 45 First Officers to join its growing team at its latest airline operation. The First Officer is integral to ensuring the safe and punctual execution of all flight operations, adhering strictly to company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations, while embodying the company's commitment to excellence and guest care.
About the Role

Responsible for the safe and timely completion of flight operations in accordance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).

Operates assigned flights after confirming aircraft airworthiness and reviewing current factors such as weather, field conditions, and navigational aids.

Manages aircraft operation during duty periods in compliance with applicable Company policies and FARs, unless relieved by Company authority.

Maintains a high level of proficiency and comprehensive knowledge of flight operations, procedures, and systems relevant to the aircraft flown.

Ensures aircraft airworthiness through diligent pre- and post-flight inspections in accordance with Company policy and FARs.

Familiarizes with existing and forecast weather conditions for departure, arrival, and alternate stations before each flight.

Plans and ensures adequate fueling for flights to be conducted safely and in compliance with current policies and regulations.

Assists with and ensures the proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo at terminal points where other company personnel are unavailable.

Promptly notifies crew and passengers of turbulence, adverse weather, or other operational factors affecting the flight.

Adheres to the Rules of Conduct as outlined in the Company Team Member Playbook and Pilot Playbook.

Assesses risk and utilizes appropriate resources to maintain acceptable risk levels during all phases of ground and flight operations.

Performs other flight officer duties as assigned.
Requirements
-
Minimum age of 23 at the time of hire.
-
1,000+ hours of total flight time (excluding simulator and Flight Engineer time).
-
500 hours Fixed Wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
-
25 hours Multi-Engine flight time.
-
50 hours Instrument flight time.
-
100 hours Cross Country flight time.
-
Possession of an FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Certificate with an airplane multi-engine class rating.

Possession of an FAA Instrument Rating.
-
Actively flying within two of the past five years.

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Accurate maintenance and disclosure of pilot training history in accordance with FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) regulations.

Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate.
-
Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
-
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
-
Valid passport.
-
Ability to travel unrestricted to and from the United States.
-
Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Must successfully complete training.

Must pass a TSA-required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check.

Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
