About the Role

Northern Jet is seeking an experienced Second-in-Command (SIC) to support operations across our Challenger 600 series and Challenger 300/350 aircraft. This position offers a unique opportunity to operate premium super-midsize and large-cabin aircraft within a dynamic, growing private aviation environment. Pilots will manage a diverse mix of Part 91 and Part 135 missions, conducting approximately 450+ flight hours annually.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate flights under Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand regulations.
  • Ensure the safe, compliant, and seamless execution of all flight missions.
  • Maintain full compliance with FAA regulations regarding flight operations, duty hours, and pilot qualifications.
  • Collaborate with Captains, flight operations leadership, maintenance, and client services teams.
  • Report aircraft discrepancies during flight or ground operations accurately.
  • Complete administrative tasks as assigned by company management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1,500+ hours total flight time.
  • 500+ hours jet time.
  • Current 1st Class Medical Certificate.
  • Unrestricted FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license.
  • No accidents, incidents, or warnings within the past five years.
  • Thorough knowledge of corporate aviation and international procedures, including operations in Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Compensation and Schedule

Schedule: 8 days on, 6 days off. Must reside east of Texas.

Compensation: Base salary of $85,000+ with total first-year compensation exceeding $105,000. Includes:

  • Scheduled Day Off (SDO) incentive: $800.
  • Holiday pay: $800.
  • Domestic Per Diem: $75; International Per Diem: $120.
  • Bonuses up to $20,000 available for additional roles such as Standardization Captain or Instructor.
