About the Role

Perimeter Aviation LP is seeking an experienced Dash Captain to safely transport passengers across its network. This role, based across multiple Canadian locations including Mississauga, ON, Thompson, MB, Winnipeg, MB, and Timmins, ON, is integral to the company's scheduled passenger and freight services, charter operations, and medical evacuation flights. The Captain will report to the Assistant Chief Pilot and is responsible for ensuring flight safety, passenger comfort, and on-time performance, operating primarily on the Dash 8 aircraft type.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct flights in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and Company Operations Manual.
  • Assess weather conditions and NOTAMs, determining fuel and oil requirements.
  • Calculate aircraft weight and balance.
  • Review, amend, and accept Operational Flight Plans for Type B 705 operations.
  • Perform pre-flight inspections of the aircraft.
  • Load, unload, and secure cargo/freight as necessary.
  • Conduct joint flight watch with flight dispatchers for Type B 705 operations.
  • Complete all post-flight duties, including reporting aircraft location and recording flight times and defects.
  • Continuously meet and exceed Transport Canada Qualification standards for pilots.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations.
  • Category 1 Medical certificate.
  • Current Group 1 Instrument Rating.
  • Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • 500 hours on DHC-8 aircraft is preferred.
  • Previous airline experience is considered an asset.
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training is considered an asset.
