Perimeter Aviation LP, a Canadian aviation company operating a diverse fleet including Dash 8 aircraft, is seeking a Captain to join their team. With multiple bases across Manitoba and Ontario, the Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of passengers and freight, ensuring exceptional customer service and on-time performance.
About the Role
Reporting to the Assistant Chief Pilot, the Captain plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers. This position involves conducting flights in accordance with all regulatory standards, managing flight operations, and maintaining the highest levels of professionalism. The role requires a commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction, while also demonstrating a strong understanding and regard for First Nations communities.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct flights adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and Company Operations Manual.

Monitor weather, NOTAMs, and determine flight requirements, including fuel and oil.

Calculate aircraft weight and balance.

Review, amend, and accept Operational Flight Plans for Type B 705 operations.

Perform comprehensive pre-flight inspections.

Load, unload, and secure cargo/freight as necessary.

Collaborate with flight dispatchers for flight watch during Type B 705 operations.

Complete all post-flight duties, including reporting aircraft status and recording flight times and any defects.

Maintain and exceed Transport Canada Qualification standards for pilots.

Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Ability to obtain and maintain required transportation security clearances and authorizations.

Category 1 Medical certificate.

Current Group 1 Instrument Rating.

Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is required; 500 hours on DHC-8 is preferred.

Previous airline experience is considered an asset.

Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training is considered an asset.
