Domestic Captain - Dash 8-300
Voyageur Aviation Corp. is seeking a full-time Domestic Captain for its Dash 8-300 fleet, based in North Bay, Ontario. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft as Pilot-in-Command, leading flight crews, and managing all aspects of flight preparation and execution within Canadian domestic operations.
About the Role
The Captain will report to the Director, Flight Operations and be responsible for the overall command of Dash 8-300 aircraft. Key duties include crew leadership, operational control, flight planning and documentation, coordination with dispatch and customers, and active participation in the company's safety and risk management system. Maintaining on-time performance and achieving flight objectives are critical. The role requires ensuring all necessary navigation equipment is aboard and completing operational paperwork accurately.
Requirements

Hold a valid ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence).

Possess a minimum of 2,000 hours of total flight time.

Accumulate at least 1,000 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) multi-engine flight time.

Have a minimum of 500 hours PIC experience on turboprop or turbofan aircraft exceeding 12,500 lbs.

Meet Transport Canada requirements for operating a Dash 8 aircraft.

Be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit).

Provide a clear Criminal Background Check.

Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify solutions.

Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Be willing to work overnight shifts.

A current Dash 8 (DH8) type rating.

Previous airline operational experience under CARs Subpart 705.
