Regional Chief Pilot
Executive Jet Management (EJM) is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their team as a Regional Chief Pilot for the Northeast region, based in the New York Metro area.
About the Role:
This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage a team of pilots while serving as the primary point of contact for Part 91/135 operations within the region. The Regional Chief Pilot will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of flight operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. While flight crew qualifications are preferred, they are not required for this non-14 CFR 119 position.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for pilots, addressing their questions, concerns, and providing guidance on safe operational procedures.
- Ensure all pilots adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, emphasizing strong communication, teamwork, and professional development.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, including Owner Services, Sales, Human Resources, Safety, and Fleet Maintenance to ensure seamless account management, aircraft readiness, and pilot training and currency.
- Act as the primary liaison for aircraft owners on all pilot-related matters.
- Support the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations in developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Manage pilot onboarding and offboarding processes, including interviewing, training compliance, scheduling, and performance reviews.
- Investigate and ensure accurate reporting and timely follow-up on aviation incidents or events.
- Provide mentorship and support to newly hired pilots during their first year of employment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Aviation Management, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Flight Operations, Dispatch, Operational Control, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations governing Part 91, Part 135, and Part 119.
- Knowledge of ICAO SARPs and international flight operations is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
- Experience in global Part 135 operations
Compensation and Benefits:
EJM offers a competitive salary range of $200,000 - $355,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, EJM provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
