Second in Command Pilot - Challenger 300
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, is seeking a qualified Second in Command (SIC) pilot for a Challenger 300 aircraft based in Jacksonville, FL (KJAX). As a subsidiary of NetJets, EJM is part of the world's largest private aviation infrastructure, renowned for its unwavering commitment to safety, service, and integrity.
Purpose of the Position:
The SIC will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the flight, adhering to all cabin safety and service protocols. The successful candidate will be proficient in all aspects of cabin systems and operations, including abnormal and emergency procedures. This is a four-pilot operation supported by a Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 135 regulations. The SIC reports to the Chief Pilot for assigned duties and to the assigned Pilot in Command (PIC) during scheduled trips.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute pilot duties in strict accordance with EJM's General Operating Manual, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and all other pertinent instructions.
- Actively uphold the company's commitment to safety, security, and quality through adherence to the Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations through the appropriate channels.
- Ensure the post-flight cleanliness of the aircraft interior, including but not limited to removing debris from the cockpit area and catering items. Report any discrepancies in the interior equipment to the PIC.
- Coordinate and obtain necessary cabin items, including catering, as directed by the Flight Operations Center. Provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
- Collaborate with the Chief Pilot on work schedules and schedule changes. Log and report flight and duty times. Report all commercial flying performed outside of EJM to the Flight Operations Center for inclusion in the Flight and Duty Time Records.
- Maintain and provide the Flight Operations Training Department with a copy of the First Class Medical Certificate by the 20th of each month.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience
- Total flight time: 2500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 500 hours
- Instrument: 150 hours
- Jet: 250 hours
- Turbine Engine: 100 hours
- Time in Type: 50 hours
- Preference given to local candidates with a rating and similar aircraft size experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong prioritizing and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple and high-level priorities.
- Proactive decision-making skills.
- Valid Medical Certificate.
- Ability to obtain an FAA Type Rating in the applicable fleet type.
- Upholding a high service standard within a demanding and evolving regulatory environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
