About the Role

The Pilot is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and providing a superior air transportation experience. This role serves as the primary representative of NetJets, ensuring both technical flight safety and an exceptional service experience for all passengers. The Pilot is expected to perform a variety of duties, acting as a professional aviator and an in-flight service provider, maintaining a professional demeanor and full command of the aircraft at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi to landing, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
  • Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, provide introductions, brief them on the flight, verify itineraries, and offer weather updates and safety briefings, communicating any itinerary changes.
  • Deliver in-flight services, including the handling and service of catering and alcohol.
  • Load and properly stow all baggage on the aircraft.
  • Accommodate flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
  • Serve as the final authority on aircraft operations, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Act as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from FBO arrival to final destination departure.
  • Communicate any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on the assignment.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP).
  • First Class Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
  • Valid passport.
  • Valid State driver's license.

Experience Requirements:

  • FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating, including:
    • At least 21 years of age.
    • 1,500 hours total flight time, or 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
    • 200 hours cross-country flight time (>50 nm).
    • 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
    • 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
    • 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
    • ATP written completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
    • 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics (KSAOs):

  • Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Extreme flexibility and the ability to adjust to rapid changes.
  • Ability to manage rest to be prepared for flight duty at all times.
  • Capacity to work for extended periods, potentially away from home for seven or more days and nights, staying in hotels.
  • Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
  • Successful completion of Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
  • Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression.
  • Strong capability to effectively interact with passengers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to make quick and accurate decisions while maintaining close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
  • Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Willingness and ability to work around animals, including handling and care.
  • Willingness and ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
