Purpose of the Position
The Pilot is entrusted with the responsibility of delivering a superior air transportation experience, maintaining an exemplary safety record on every flight. As the embodiment of NetJets, the Pilot provides not only technically proficient and safe transportation but also ensures an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger. This role demands versatility, encompassing the duties of a professional aviator and an in-flight service provider to achieve a concierge-level service experience. The Pilot maintains absolute command of the aircraft at all times and is expected to uphold a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs). Greets Owners/passengers pre-flight, provides introductions, briefs them on the flight/trip details, verifies itinerary, and offers weather updates and safety briefings, explaining any itinerary changes.
- Provides in-flight service as required, including the responsible handling of alcohol and the service of catering.
- Loads and properly stows all baggage on the aircraft as necessary.
- Accommodates flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
- Serves as the ultimate authority on his/her aircraft, overseeing all operational aspects, including compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Acts as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from the FBO arrival until safe landing and departure from the final FBO.
- Communicates any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company through the on-duty Aircraft Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller for their fleet.
- Completes all required paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performs other duties as assigned based on the specific assignment.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certifications and Licenses:
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- First Class Medical Certificate
- Experience: Not Specified

- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Possesses an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meets the requirements for an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating, including but not limited to:
- At least 21 years of age.
- 1,500 hours of total flight time, or
- 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or
- 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or
- 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time (>50 nm).
- 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- ATP written examination completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport and authorization to work in the U.S., with the ability to travel internationally without restriction.
- Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrates extreme flexibility and the ability to adapt to rapid changes.
- Capability to manage personal rest to ensure readiness for flight duty at all times.
- Willingness to work duty periods up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning different time zones and experiencing extreme weather differences.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, residing in hotels.
- Must be able to obtain appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Must pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
- Possesses a valid United States driver's license.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Exceptional service orientation with a neat and well-groomed appearance, demonstrating the ability to make a positive impression and interact effectively with passengers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Ability to make prompt and accurate decisions with meticulous attention to detail, encompassing both technical aspects and passenger service.
- Physical capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Comfort working around animals, including their handling and care during flights.
- Willingness to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
