Position Summary
The Chief Pilot is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Flight Operations department. The Chief Pilot will hold the flight crews to the highest professional pilot standards attainable and to maintain flight crew discipline within the flight crew group. Promote and develop continuous improvement plans to promote efficiencies and safety.
Essential Functions

Supervise all activities occurring within the Flight Department.

Ensure all operations are compliant with Federal Aviation Regulations, General Operations Manual, and the Operations Specifications.

Assist with formulating Company standards and incorporates them into changes to the manuals.

Establish flight crew duty hours and audit flight and duty times to ensure compliance with Federal and Company regulations.

Ensure training programs are implemented for all aspects of flight crew operations, such as flight proficiency, medical equipment training, survival training, etc.

Develop, coordinate, audit and maintain records on all aspects of flight crew training, both ground and flight. Ensure compliance with Federal Regulations and our Training Programs.

Maintain current Regulations, Airman’s Information Manual, Advisory Circulars, etc. and disseminate flight advisory information to flight crews.

Promote and assist with developing corporate safety culture throughout the company flight operations department

Work with other colleagues and Department Managers to promote a unified team concept.

Assume other duties as may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Have a thorough knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations as they apply to Company flight crews and aircraft.

Be familiar and assist with TSA compliance

Operation of Standard office equipment and computers.

A general knowledge of basic accounting and finance.
Minimum Qualifications:

FAA First Class Medical Certificate

Valid Passport
-
Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) w/ Multi-Engine privileges

2000 Total Time
-
1500 Pilot-in-Command
-
500 Multi-Engine Pilot-in Command
-
Bachelor’s Degree
-
10 years General Aviation experience
Work Conditions:
-
Occasional work is performed in an office setting with prolonged periods of sedentary activity
-
Additional work is performed in an aircraft with an on-demand flight schedule ranging through all hours of the day and varying weather conditions
Physical Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
