Fiji Airways, the national carrier of Fiji, is actively seeking highly skilled and experienced Type-Rated Boeing 737 Next Generation (NG) and MAX Captains to join its international flight team. This opportunity is based at the airline’s primary operational hub in Nadi.
Airline Operations and Fleet
Fiji Airways operates a modern, diverse fleet that includes the Airbus A330, A350, and the Boeing 737NG/MAX aircraft. Captains will fly an established network connecting Fiji with primary destinations across the Pacific region, New Zealand, and Australia, alongside long-haul services to North American and Asian hubs, including Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Hong Kong.
Contract and Remuneration Package
This position offers a highly attractive, three-year renewable contract term. The package is particularly appealing to pilots in the Australian and New Zealand areas, as the airline facilitates commuting by providing tickets between the crew member's contract base and Nadi for duty commencement.
Remuneration and Allowances (B737 Captains)
- Monthly Payment (Year 1): NZD 17,428 (based on 70 block hours flown).
- Accommodation Allowance: NZD 2,240 per month.
- Excess Flying Compensation: Flight time exceeding 70 block hours per month is compensated at 125% of the applicable hourly rate.
- Flight Duty Allowance: NZD 10 per block hour.
- Operating Base: Nadi, Fiji.

Minimum Requirements for B737NG Captains
Prospective candidates must meet the following essential criteria:
- Possession of a valid B737NG type rating.
- A minimum of 500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience on the B737NG aircraft.
- A minimum of 2,000 hours total jet time.
- A minimum of 3,500 hours total time.
- Must have flown the type rating within the last 12 months.
- Maximum age upon application is 60 years.
- Holding a valid ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Holding a valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstration of ICAO English Level 5 proficiency or above.
