First Officer - Twin Otter - Glasgow Base
Loganair is seeking a highly motivated and skilled First Officer to join its flight crew based in Glasgow. As a First Officer on the Twin Otter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights, working alongside a Captain and ground crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Captain in all phases of flight, including pre-flight briefings, flight planning, and aircraft performance calculations.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections to ensure the aircraft is in an airworthy condition and all necessary documentation is complete.
- Operate the aircraft in strict compliance with standard operating procedures, company policies, and all relevant aviation regulations.
- Monitor weather conditions, communicate effectively with air traffic control, and make necessary adjustments to flight plans to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate flight records, including flight logs, duty times, and maintenance discrepancies.
- Uphold the highest safety standards by meticulously following pre-flight safety checks, emergency briefings, and adhering to all aviation safety regulations.
- Provide crucial assistance in the event of an emergency, including evacuations, securing the aircraft, and offering support to passengers and crew.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to passengers by ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable flight experience.
- Actively participate in recurrent training programs to maintain and enhance skills, knowledge, and qualifications.

Training and Experience:
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a valid Class Rating for a DHC-6 Twin Otter.
- Possess previous experience in Twin Otter operations.
- Be eligible to live and work indefinitely in the UK.
- Hold a valid passport that permits unrestricted worldwide travel.
- Demonstrate English language proficiency to ICAO level 4 or above.
- Hold a current UK CAA Licence (CPL, MEIR, A-UPRT & MCC).
- Hold a valid and current UK CAA Class 1 Medical certificate.
