The organization maintains aviation bases across Australia and the Indian Ocean Territories, complemented by a 24/7 Operations Centre, Systems Integration Lab, and Mission Equipment Service Centre to guarantee operational excellence. Collaboration with local SMEs to prototype and test advanced mission management systems, and the integration of cutting-edge ISR technology are integral to the company's innovative approach.

Base Salary: $105,251.50 plus allowances as per the Enterprise Agreement.

Pay Range Information: Leidos provides a general guideline for compensation. Factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and applicable agreements influence the final offer.

Key Responsibilities

The Pilot will provide comprehensive support to the entire mission crew. This involves diligently, efficiently, and professionally executing all assigned duties to ensure the successful completion of each airborne operation.

Required Qualifications

DHC-8 First Officer Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship and a current passport.
  • Valid CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical certificate.
  • Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and Instrument Rating (IR).
  • Completed ATPL Human Factors course.
  • Demonstrated flying experience: Either a CPL or IR completed within the last 6 months, 200 hours of flying time in the last 6 months, or a minimum of 500 hours total flying time.
  • Eligibility for both an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC) and an Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA Baseline).

Note: Due to the sensitive nature of the work, successful applicants must be Australian Citizens and willing and able to obtain an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance. Applicants may also be required to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements, which can impose limitations on individuals holding dual nationality or permanent residency, or who are former nationals of certain countries.
