Job Description:
Instructor pilot with requirements to perform flight instructor duties. Position needs prior military experience related to flight operations and have sufficient relevant experience to create effective training plans. Pilot will provide hands-on instruction and pilot flight/ground training. If certified as flight evaluator, pilot will be responsible for conducting check rides and associated preflight/post-flight duties. Pilot will develop and execute aircraft training plans, as well as, support scheduling and training processing.
Essential Functions:
+ Serve as a contract instructor pilot to USAF pilots
+ Knowledge of USAF Training and policy
+ Attends routine training and safety meetings
+ Provide other instructor training as required
+ Travel CONUS to support training and exercises
Job Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, and twelve (12) years of applicable experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
+ Position requires an active DoD Top Secret (SCI) Security Clearance
+ Must have minimum of 5,000 hours total flight experience, recent USAF flight experience within past 12 months
+ At least 1,500 hours tactical flight / mission system experience on USAF platforms
+ Previously served as a USAF Instructor Pilot
+ Knowledge of USAF training regulations and training programs
+ Meet FAA and USAF physical and regulatory qualifications to perform flight duties
+ Must be capable of performing flight instructor duties on other aircraft as directed
+ Experience as an USAF Check Pilot preferred
+ Must be able to travel CONUS to support training and exercises
Position requires an active DoD Top Secret (SCI) Security Clearance and the ability to maintain the said clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
