Duties

Operate aircraft in accordance with FAA, company and customer directives while operating under day, night and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) / night vision enhanced devices from remote locations. Coordinates with maintenance personnel to analyze and correct aircraft discrepancies. Interacts with PMO and OCONUS leadership supporting operational training requirements.

PMO Instructor Pilots (IPs) are responsible for day-to-day mission accomplishment of the organizations pilot training program. They provide training and guidance to all new hire pilots and continuation training to existing aircrew, necessary to achieve company goals. Prospective candidates will have demonstrated skills in balancing administrative, tactical and technical aspects of the position across all aircraft platforms. PMO IP candidates will be dedicated to continuous improvement and must have the ability to motivate and effectively deliver instruction to the workforce. A preponderance of duties will involve classroom academic instruction. PMO IP positions are also contract Evaluator’s for the purposes of DCMA 8210.1C compliance.

+ Administer technical instruction to pilots

+ Develops, schedules, coordinates the pilot training requirements

+ Reviews and updates courses and classroom program of instruction (POI)

+ Develops crewmember training records

+ Standardization Evaluator/administers AF Form 8 check rides

+ Conduct new hire performance counseling

+ Supervise conduct of remedial training. When necessary, document and recommend disciplinary action.

+ Conduct aircrew new hire and annual/continuation training to include: HAZMAT, fire safety, emergency destruction, emergency aircraft egress, anti-hijacking, high altitude physiology, aviation life support equipment (ALSE), and crew resource management (CRM)

+ Perform Officer-In-Charge or Range Safety Officer duties supporting firearms qualification ranges

+ Candidates may be assigned other duties, as directed by management

General Requirements

+ At least 21 years of age

+ Current US passport

+ US Citizenship

+ Valid State Driver’s License

+ Read, write, speak and understand English

+ Qualified Instructor Pilot on all assigned platforms (180 day grace period to obtain qualification)

Licensing Requirements

+ FAA Commercial Airplane multi-engine land certificate

+ FAA Instrument Airplane Certificate

+ Rating held for the last three (3) consecutive years

+ FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit

+ FAA Second Class Medical certificate (current)

+ BE-300 Type Rating

Flight Time Requirements

+ Minimum of 3,000 hours of total documented flight time

+ Minimum of 1500 hours of fixed wing multi-engine time

+ When evaluating the flight time of applicants meeting the basic qualifications, consideration will be given to, among other things, quality, quantity, currency, and verifiability of training; complexity of aircraft flown; types of flight operations; and hours flown as PIC in turbine powered aircraft. Applicants invited to interview must provide appropriate documentation of all flight hours.

Preferred Experience

Classroom platform instructor, prior manned ISR experience, forward air control (FAC), FAC (A), JTAC experience, airborne sensor operator experience, fixed or rotary wing direct air support experience.

+ 3,000 hours Pilot-in-Command

+ Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)

+ Prior Military Instructor/Evaluator Pilot

+ FAA Flight Instructor Airplane Multiengine

+ FAA Flight Instructor Instrument Airplane

Education

+ 2 year Associate’s Degree and 4 years experience or equivalent combination of experience and education, required

+ 4 year Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years experience or equivalent combination of experience and education, highly desired

Other

+ Internal applicants preferred.

+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOD Secret security clearance; Top Secret clearance preferred

+ Pre-employment drug test and a medical exam

+ Criminal history records check and a background check will be performed

+ Must be able to qualify with M-9 pistol and M-4 rifle, or equivalent

+ Able to deploy to remote OCONUS locations for 30 days per semi-annual period
