First Officer

The First Officer reports to the Chief Pilot and is an integral member of the Flight Operations Department. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to assisting the Captain and crew in the safe operation of aircraft. The First Officer will utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles while adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The First Officer will be responsible for the following duties, including, but not limited to:

  • Performing preflight inspections of the aircraft and freight.
  • Assisting the crew with necessary paperwork.
  • Operating the aircraft with strict adherence to policy, regulations, and procedures.
  • Identifying and reporting any unsafe conditions on the ground or in-flight.
  • Performing post-flight inspections of the aircraft.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Prior experience in FAR Part 121 operations is preferred, but not mandatory.

Language Skills:

The candidate must possess the ability to proficiently read, write, and comprehend spoken and written English. They must also be capable of composing routine reports and correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Multi-Engine Airline Transport Certificate or Restricted Multi-Engine Airline Pilot Certificate.
  • Minimum of 2,500 total flight hours; 4,000 hours preferred.
  • For military applicants, a minimum of 1,000 total flight hours is required. Turbine and PIC time are flexible.
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours of turbine (jet) flight time.
  • Minimum of 500 hours of PIC turbine (jet) flight time.
  • Current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Radio License.
  • Unrestricted international travel capabilities.
  • Current U.S. Passport.
  • Successful completion of a 10-year security background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Work Environment:
