About the Role

Rampart Aviation is seeking a qualified Second in Command Pilot to join our team near Pinal Airpark in Marana, Arizona. This CONUS-based position involves performing flight operations under FAA Part 135 and 91 regulations. The role requires effective crew collaboration to safely and efficiently transport customers to their jump altitudes and return to the originating airport.

Operations can involve up to 16 lifts per day, seven days a week, with demanding schedules during peak months. Responsibilities include adherence to Company Operations Manuals, Military Operations Procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Second in Command duties for Rampart flight operations.
  • Work effectively with the flight crew to ensure safe and efficient customer transport.
  • Operate aircraft in accordance with all applicable regulations and company procedures.

Required Qualifications

FAA Pilot Ratings

  • Commercial or ATP Multi-engine Land
  • CFI, CFII, MEI (desirable)
  • Valid First Class Medical

Minimum Flight Experience

  • 1000 hours Total Time
  • 500 hours Multi-Engine

Other Qualifications

  • Valid US Passport
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Top-Secret Clearance (TS Personal Security Clearance strongly desired)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with CASA 212, DHC-4, and/or DHC-6 aircraft.

Physical Demands

The position requires climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking, and working in tiring, uncomfortable positions. Lifting objects exceeding 50 pounds may be necessary. Special vision abilities are required, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment

Work conditions vary from environments with minimal discomfort to those with inclement weather, including severe changes in temperature, wind, and rain. Travel to austere, inhospitable, and high-stress environments will be required. Employees may work in areas with high noise hazards, be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and potential electrical shock hazards.
