Second in Command - Gulfstream G200 Pilot

Jet Linx is actively seeking a highly qualified Second in Command (SIC) candidate to join its esteemed team. This critical role supports Super Midsize jet aircraft operations under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The ideal candidate will reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out time of the assigned aircraft base in Houston, Texas.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Second in Command is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft. This includes meticulous preparation and adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 1,500 hours
- Total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Flight Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Flight Time: 100 hours
- Total Instrument Flight Time: 150 hours
Essential Functions
- Diligent management of duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Proactive communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and pre- and post-flight reporting.
- Proficient management and maintenance of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and associated applications.
- Ensuring all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Maintaining a current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making capabilities.
- Embodying and promoting Jet Linx's core values in all professional interactions.
Additional Qualifications
- Preference for initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the past 24 months.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- A current U.S. passport.
- ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate with unrestricted privileges.
- Current First Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to all European Union (EU), Canadian, and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to release and pass a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Record Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience is required.
- The majority of work duties are performed in and around aircraft and airport terminals.
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx provides a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $124,000 to $160,000. The actual base salary offered will be determined by factors including geographic location, aircraft type (crew positions), relevant education, specialized training, and overall experience of the candidate.
