Pilot in Command – Lear 75

Location: Austin, TX (Full-Time)

Jet Linx is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for Lear 75 light jet aircraft to support Part 91 and 135 flight operations. Candidates must reside within or be willing to relocate to a location within a two-hour call-out time of the assigned base.

Position Summary

The Pilot in Command reports to the Base Chief Pilot. The PIC is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company procedures.

Minimum Flight Experience Requirements

  • Total Time: 3,500 hours
  • Total PIC: 2,000 hours
  • Total Time in Type: 250 hours
  • Total PIC Time in Type: 250 hours
  • Total Multi-Engine: 1,500 hours
  • Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
  • Total Turbine: 500 hours
  • Total Instrument: 300 hours

Essential Functions

  • Manage duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with company standards and CFRs.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty, trip notifications, position calls, and reporting.
  • Manage electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware, applications, and ensure all navigation charts, publications, and manuals remain current.
  • Maintain a current 1st Class medical certificate.
  • Utilize proactive decision-making skills to ensure operational safety and excellence.
  • Demonstrate the core values of Jet Linx in all professional interactions.

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • ATP certificate (or ability to obtain).
  • Current 1st Class medical certificate and FCC Restricted Radio License.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and current passport.
  • Proven eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean nations.
  • Successful completion of an FAA Pilot Record Database review.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening (including testing for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and amphetamines) and participate in random drug/alcohol testing programs.
  • Preferred: Initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to frequently move up to 50 pounds and operate in aircraft/terminal environments.

Compensation and Benefits

Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $182,500, commensurate with geographic location, aircraft specifications, education, and relevant experience. Comprehensive benefits include:
