This is a prestigious opportunity for two qualified Gulfstream G600 Captains to join a premier Part 91 operation. The client is adding headcount to establish a desirable and sustainable schedule for all full-time pilots, allowing for crew rotation typically every 30 to 60 days. Though the primary base is KBED (Bedford, MA), this specialized role offers a fully commutable arrangement from anywhere within the continental United States.
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) reports directly to the Lead Captain regarding all company operating policies and procedures. The PIC is the final authority for the safe and efficient conduct of all assigned flight operations, with paramount emphasis placed on safety, security, and quality control. This global operation typically averages 70 to 80 flights annually, totaling approximately 200 flight hours, requiring extensive worldwide travel capability.
The Pilot in Command will exercise absolute authority over all assigned flights, ensuring adherence to the highest international and domestic aviation standards.
Essential Qualifications and Minimum Requirements
Candidates must possess outstanding professionalism and meet the stringent experience requirements listed below to be considered for this competitive Gulfstream G600 Captain opportunity:
- Must hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with the appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Current and maintainable FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Current Gulfstream GVII (G600) Type Rating is mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexible schedules.
- Must be willing and able to travel worldwide extensively without restriction.
- Extensive international operating experience is required.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Flight Hour Minimums:
- 4,000 hours Total Fixed Wing experience.
- 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- 2,000 hours Captain Time.
- 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land time.
- 1,500 hours Turbojet time.
- 1,500 hours Turbine time.
- 100 hours Night time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument time.
- A minimum of five years of aviation experience.
Main Responsibilities of the Pilot in Command
The PIC is responsible for executing all flight assignments safely and in complete compliance with federal, local, and company regulations. Core duties include, but are not limited to:
- Safely operating the aircraft; determining departure times, routes, and flight status based on operational or environmental conditions.
- Instituting all necessary changes required by en route conditions to maintain appropriate company policy and regulatory compliance.
- Ensuring thorough and complete understanding and coordination with the Second in Command regarding all aspects of flight operations and safety.
- Accurately completing all required trip paperwork in accordance with established procedures (including leg manifests and End of Day reports).
- Recording all aircraft discrepancies promptly on the discrepancy log and immediately reporting issues to the Director of Maintenance (DOM) or designee. The PIC, in consultation with the DOM, will determine if the item can be deferred via the approved Minimum Equipment List (MEL).
- Verifying that all flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and are mentally and physically fit for assignment.
- Maintaining comprehensive working knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Securing the aircraft after each flight, including arranging hangar storage as necessary or as instructed by company management.
- Obtaining the most current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS from authorized agencies.
- Filing or directing the filing of flight plans with the appropriate Air Traffic Control (ATC) facilities.
- Analyzing area, enroute, and terminal charts for intended landing and alternate airports.
- Performing the functions of the In-Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) as required under applicable security programs.
- Conducting or assigning the required passenger safety briefings.
- Mentoring and imparting knowledge and skills to the Second in Command to prepare them for potential PIC duties in an emergency or eventual upgrade.
- Actively supporting the open sharing of information on all safety issues and immediately reporting any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Representing Jet Aviation and the client organization externally and internally with the highest degree of professionalism.

The estimated salary range for this distinguished position is highly competitive, falling between $300,000 and $315,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's proven experience, specific qualifications, and geographic location.
The work environment requires flexibility, with the employee frequently moving between upscale customer areas and active operational settings. The candidate must be prepared to work in all types of weather conditions and environments, including hangars that may experience extreme heat or cold during different seasons. The role occasionally involves exposure to vibration and fuel fumes, and the noise level is usually loud when aircraft are arriving or departing.
