Role Overview:
The BBJ NG Captain will play a crucial role in supporting aircraft operations, ensuring the highest standards of flight safety, adherence to operational procedures and regulations, and providing professional service to valued clients. This position reports directly to the Director of Flight Operations, specializing in Boeing fleets based in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Prioritize the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure strict compliance with all operational procedures and checklists outlined in the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Crew Management: Supervise crew members, ensuring their presence at designated stations during critical phases of flight, including takeoff, final approach, and landing.
- Flight Discipline: Enforce a strict no-activity policy during takeoff, initial climb, final approach, and landing, except for duties essential for the safe operation of the aircraft.
- Data Integrity: Protect flight data and cockpit voice recorder data, preventing unauthorized disabling or erasure, except when necessary for incident or accident investigations.
- Effective Crew Coordination: Foster teamwork and good airmanship within the flight crew, optimizing flight operations.
- Precise Navigation and Observation: Maintain accurate navigation and ensure strict adherence to minimum altitude requirements.
- Aircraft Systems Expertise: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems, ensuring their proper use and handling.
- Checklist Adherence: Enforce the rigorous use of checklists throughout all flight phases.
- Fuel Management: Ensure sufficient usable fuel for safe landing at a designated airport, adhering to final reserve fuel requirements.
- Cabin Crew Collaboration: Maintain close communication with the cabin crew, ensuring compliance with all cabin safety protocols.
- Log Completion: Meticulously complete flight and technical logs.
- Incident Reporting: Prepare detailed written occurrence and accident reports as needed.
- Aviation Expertise: Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant aviation regulations, JBJH/JBJS Operations Manual, and agreed aviation practices.
- Company Representation: Maintain a high standard of professionalism, conduct, and appearance as a company representative.
- Regulatory Compliance: Strictly adhere to the regulations outlined in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Passenger Safety Briefing: Ensure all passengers receive thorough briefings on emergency exit locations, safety equipment, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current on type BBJ NG / Max 8
- Preferred: FAA/EASA license
- Proven experience in private jet operations
