Jet Access seeks a skilled and experienced Citation XLS Captain to join its growing team in Carlsbad, CA. Reporting to the Fleet Chief Pilot, the Captain leads the assigned aircraft flight crew, ensuring all flights are conducted in accordance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. The Captain also oversees the First Officer in all flight duties and provides exceptional service and support to passengers and clients.
The Captain conducts aircraft operations and related job assignments as outlined in the Flight Operations Manual and Company Manuals. The Captain ensures accurate and timely completion of all flight, aircraft, and passenger records, and supervises other crewmembers in their duties. Compliance with flight/duty time limitations and rest periods is essential. The Captain reviews the Flight/Maintenance Log to ensure aircraft airworthiness and coordinates with maintenance personnel for any necessary maintenance. They ensure proper preflight, post-flight, and routine aircraft servicing. Coordinating client itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center, performing duties of Ground and In-flight Security Coordinators, ensuring current manuals and equipment are onboard, and verifying the validity of crew and passenger travel documents are key responsibilities. International arrivals and departures must be conducted in compliance with all applicable regulations. The Captain fosters positive client relations through friendly and efficient service, exercises operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations, and ensures adherence to safety protocols. Engine trend monitoring data will be documented as requested by the Maintenance Department.
This role offers a schedule of 17 scheduled duty days per month, with opportunities for optional overtime days for premium pay. Occasional Part 91 owner trips may occur outside of the regular schedule.
