Aviation Captain
Jet Access and its family of companies, providers of premier private air travel, charter, aircraft management, sales, maintenance, flight training, airport operation and management, is seeking a qualified and experienced Aviation Captain. The successful candidate will lead the assigned aircraft flight crew, maintain proficiency and competence, and ensure all flights are conducted according to company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. The Captain also oversees the First Officer and provides exceptional service and support to all passengers and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts aircraft operations in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual and Company Manuals.
- Ensures accurate and timely completion of all flight, aircraft, and passenger records.
- Supervises other crewmembers in the performance of their duties.
- Ensures compliance with flight/duty time limitations and rest periods.
- Maintains current 1st class medical certification.
- Reviews Flight/Maintenance Logs to ensure aircraft airworthiness and coordinates with maintenance personnel.
- Ensures preflight, post-flight, and routine aircraft servicing is accomplished.
- Coordinates client requests for itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center.
- Performs duties of Ground and In-flight Security Coordinators.
- Ensures appropriate manuals, charts, and equipment are current and onboard.
- Verifies crewmembers and passengers possess valid passports, immunizations, visas, and clearances for customs and agricultural inspections.
- Ensures international arrivals and departures comply with applicable regulations.
- Fosters outstanding Jet Access Aviation, LLC, and client business relations.
- Exercises operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations.
- Ensures only qualified flight crew manipulate aircraft controls.
- Documents engine trend monitoring data as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Core Schedule:
- 17 scheduled duty days per month.
- Optional overtime days may be offered for additional compensation.
- Part 91 Owner trips may occur outside of scheduled duty days (not eligible for overtime pay).
Required Qualifications:
- 3,000 hours total flying time.
- 1,500 hours total Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time.
- 500 hours Multi PIC time.
- 250 hours PIC in Type time.
- 250 Turbine PIC time.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Successful completion of background check and drug test.
- Ability to read and respond to E-Mail communications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ATP Qualified.
- Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills.
- Computer skills for word processing, email, and web-based applications.
- Passionate attention to detail and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
