The Flight department Manager must be a world-class professional pilot with the service philosophy of a 5-star concierge service provider who strives to provide professional customer service to all aircraft owners and their passengers and families. The Flight Department Manager has complete responsibility for the safety of themselves, the passengers, and the aircraft. The manager has full authority for any go, no-go decisions. They must manage and perform all responsibilities of the flight department with a service minded attitude. The position is not just flying the aircraft.
Flight Responsibilities and Requirements
The flight department manager is responsible for all flight operations of the Company’s CJ4 Jet aircraft in
a single pilot operation
and part time crew environment. This position is the only full-time professional pilot employed by Haselden Construction at the present time. Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

Single pilot qualified in CE500 or CE525S type rating.

All flights are conducted under part 91 operations.
-
TT 5000hrs.
-
TT Turbine PIC Single Pilot time 3000hrs.
-
TT Jet PIC 2000hrs.
-
Rockwell Proline 21 experience.
-
You could be flying up to 300-350 hours per year flight time.
-
All weather flights Single Pilot IFR and part time crew environment, if required.
-
File all flight plans.
-
Prepare aircraft for departure on all flights.
-
Return aircraft to the hanger on all flights including cleaning, as necessary.
-
Understand and determine all necessary weather conditions necessary for safe flight.
-
Maintain strict company safety policies especially around company mandated operating procedures.
-
Exercise winter weather flying in known icing conditions. Demonstrate practical winter weather ground operations including all required de-icing procedures.
-
Perform timely aircraft preparation including fueling, catering, preflight, and clearance prior to passenger arrival.
-
All passengers arrive 30 minutes prior to Wheels Up.
-
Captains uniform to include logo’ d Haselden apparel.
Aircraft Management and Maintenance
Complete aircraft management including but not limited to:
-
Tracking of all phased inspections through Cescom.
-
Scheduling of all maintenance with Textron on field maintenance or West Star Aviation.
-
Periodic cleaning and detailing of the aircraft.
-
Aircraft cleanliness and readiness before and after every flight.
-
Update of all Collins & Jeppesen data bases.
-
Monthly monitor and management of Williams Tap Blue program.
-
Scheduling of any interior or painting upgrades to the aircraft.
-
Commission the aircraft after all major inspections.
-
Manage annual inspections of the Piper Supercub & Cessna 185.
Hanger Management and Maintenance
Complete management of the hanger and all ground-based activities at Centennial including but not limited to:
-
Hangar maintenance and cleaning is necessary.
-
Cleaning of hanger floor periodically with hanger floor scrubber when you are not flying.
-
Cleaning of hanger kitchen, office, and bathroom.
-
Scheduling maintenances, as necessary.
-
Keeping activities and storage organized.
Ground Support services
-
Management of all vehicle gate cards and decals.
-
Annual gate card renewal.
-
Scheduling for all passenger ground-based transportation for every flight.
-
Provide all catering as necessary for all flights based on directives of the primary passenger including. knowledge of catering desires for all four aircraft owners.

Interface with all line crew operations at all airports.
-
Prepare all beverages of choice for all flights.
-
Coordinate entrance of all non-gate card passengers onto airport ramp for every flight.
-
Load all passenger’s bags and luggage.
-
Know each passenger’s name and greet them by name.
-
Coordinate with CEO and Chairman’s Executive assistant on the plane calendar and schedule. The EA keeps the calendar.

Determine closest GA airport for each flight based on lead passengers desired location.
-
Determine FBO for each flight based on services required and lowest cost of fuel.
-
Manage annual member ship with CAA fuel program, CJP, NBAA.
Financial and Budget Management
Perform complete management of the flight departments budget, including but not limited to:
-
Prepare annual aircraft budget for review and approval by Chairman and company Controller.

Manage the aircraft and flight department within the annual budget.
-
Forecast major inspections in the annual budget.
-
Budget annual fuel costs based on historic fuel burns and average annual fuel budget.
-
Track and manage all pilot expenses to budget including pilot lodging, food, and ground transportation.
-
Submit monthly flight logs to accounting for internal monthly reimbursement by owner.
-
Review, approve, and cost code all monthly invoices.
-
Review all aircraft maintenance invoices with Chairman.
Education and Training
Schedule and manage all annual education and recurrent training including but not limited to:

Schedule annual recurrent training.
-
Attend annual recurrent training.
-
Attend annual CJP convention (flight schedule depending).
Salary
The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $190,000.
Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or location.
