Fixed Wing Pilot (PC-12) – Air Medical Transport
A highly professional air medical transportation service is currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Fixed Wing Pilot for critical care flight operations. The successful candidate will serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) and be qualified to operate the PC-12 aircraft, ensuring the reliable and secure transport of patients and medical crew.
Operational Overview and Responsibilities
This pilot is integral to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational readiness for air medical services. The position operates on a dependable and structured 14 days on, 14 days off rotation, requiring flexibility to manage assigned day, night, and overnight missions.
The Pilot in Command is responsible for all facets of flight safety and preparation. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serving as Pilot in Command for all assigned medical air transport missions.
- Performing comprehensive pre-flight and post-flight aircraft preparation.
- Assisting with ground operations, including aircraft maneuvering, hangar movement, and towing.
- Executing required procedures, such as aircraft de-icing, necessary to ensure readiness for flight operations in varied and outside weather conditions.
- Collaborating within a professional team environment dedicated to upholding superior aviation safety standards for both the flight crew and customers.
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must satisfy the following minimum flight experience and certification requirements to be considered for this critical Air Medical Fixed Wing Pilot role:
Certifications and Licenses:
- Commercial Pilot Certificate (C-AMEL or C-ASEL).
- Current FAA First-Class or Second-Class Medical Certificate.
- A valid, unexpired driver's license.
- The Pilot must be willing and able to obtain the Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification within five (5) years of employment.
Flight Hour Minimums:
- Total Flight Hours: 2,500 hours
- Fixed Wing Hours: 2,000 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Hours: 1,000 hours
- Cross Country Hours: 500 hours
- Night Hours: 100 hours
- Instrument Hours: 75 hours (including a minimum of 50 hours actual instrument time)
