Job Summary
George J. Priester Aviation, a distinguished aviation services company, seeks a highly qualified CJ3 Captain (Pilot in Command) to join our team in Aspen, Colorado (ASE). This role is integral to our Part 135 and Part 91 operations, requiring a commitment to safety, professionalism, and exceptional customer service. The Pilot in Command (PIC) will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the assigned aircraft, managing all aspects of flight preparation, execution, and crew coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Pilot in Command (PIC) with final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight planning, including weather analysis, performance calculations, routing, and fuel management.
- Maintain effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) and foster a culture of teamwork and safety.
- Provide superior passenger service, ensuring safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
- Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS), identifying and mitigating risks.
- Mentor and lead First Officers and other flight crew members.
- Complete all required post-flight documentation accurately and promptly.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, maintaining currency of certifications and training.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3000 total flight hours.
- 1500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- 1500 hours multi-engine land, with 500 hours as multi-engine PIC.
- 1000 hours in turbine aircraft.
- 500 hours instrument time.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine land rating.
- Current First-Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, flight planning, and safety management systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in flight planning and aviation management software.
- Type-rating on the CE525B is highly desirable.
- Mountain flying experience, specifically in Aspen, CO (ASE), is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in Part 135 operations is highly desirable.
