Position Summary

General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI) is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated UAV Instructor Operator Pilot to join its esteemed Aero Services division. This pivotal role contributes significantly to the company's military and commercial engineering services by providing essential aircrew training, operational support, and flight test capabilities for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

Key Responsibilities

The UAV Instructor Operator Pilot acts as a lead Instructor Operator, providing comprehensive support to customer organizational units in aircrew training, evaluations, and sustained flight operations. This role involves meticulous coordination and active participation in all facets of ground and flight operations, including detailed mission planning, precise execution, thorough briefing and debriefing, robust aircrew resource management, and strict adherence to safety protocols. The incumbent may be called upon to remotely pilot UAVs to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability during flight test and demonstration support, performing specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers. Critical to the role is ensuring stringent adherence to service guidance, company policies and procedures, and all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Furthermore, the Instructor Operator Pilot may contribute to the development and verification of procedures for new aircraft features and participate in crafting operational and safety procedures, as well as training syllabus courseware. The position demands observance of all applicable laws, regulations, and other obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company, working in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Other duties may be assigned as required.
