Position Summary
Frontier Airlines is seeking highly skilled and dedicated First Officers to join its dynamic flight operations team. The First Officer plays a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the safest and most efficient execution of flight operations. This position demands unwavering adherence to all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and involves operating within a demanding schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and night operations.
Key Responsibilities
The First Officer's duties include, but are not limited to:
- Executing flight operations safely and punctually, in strict compliance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Assuming primary responsibility for aircraft operation during designated duty periods, as assigned by Company authority.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections to confirm the airworthiness of the assigned aircraft.
- Acquiring comprehensive knowledge of existing and forecast weather conditions for departure, arrival, and alternate stations prior to each flight.
- Ensuring meticulous flight planning and proper fueling to facilitate safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
- Collaborating with ground teams to ensure the proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo at terminal points, with a keen focus on on-time departures.
- Proactively informing crew members and passengers of potential turbulence, adverse weather conditions, or any other operational factors that may affect the flight experience.
- Reviewing the load manifest and verifying passenger counts accurately before each departure.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates for the First Officer position must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- A minimum of 1,500 hours total flight time (2,500 hours preferred).
- At least 750 hours of multi-engine fixed-wing flight time.
- A minimum of 500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- At least 500 hours in jet/turboprop aircraft.
- Possession of a current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- A valid US Passport with machine-readable print and the ability to travel internationally, or a valid foreign passport with authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to travel to and from all cities and countries served by Frontier Airlines.
- Willingness and ability to relocate as required.
- Availability and willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, holidays, and overnight trips, including "red-eye" flights.
- Commitment to maintaining a well-groomed and professional appearance consistent with airline standards.
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and comprehensive background checks.
- Experience with sophisticated aircraft equipment, including Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS) and Flight Management Systems (FMS), is preferred.
- Compliance with the company’s COVID policies, which currently requires all new hires to be fully vaccinated by their first day of employment, to the degree permitted by law.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This role primarily operates within an aircraft cockpit and may involve administrative tasks using standard office equipment such as PCs, tablets (iPad/electronic tablet), company manuals, navigation charts, and flashlights. The position requires moderate physical activity, including occasionally handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds and frequently handling objects up to 20 pounds.
