Aviation Cabin Crew Job Description
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as the airline's ambassador, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing the overall passenger experience by delivering exceptional customer service while diligently ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. The individual is expected to maintain peak operational readiness and fitness, ensuring productivity aligns with established company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and Operational Readiness
- The Cabin Crew is responsible for maintaining impeccable personal presentation, timely attendance, and ensuring complete fitness and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role assignments, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Security Management
- Ensures passenger safety and comfort by clearly instructing on all necessary safety procedures.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provides essential first aid to passengers when required.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
Customer Service Excellence
- Delivers exceptional customer service from welcome to disembarkation, assisting with boarding formalities and accurately recording necessary data in the aircraft logbook in accordance with Airline and Civil Aviation Authority procedures.
- Attends to individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs throughout the flight.
- Identifies and provides compassionate assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following guidelines in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the “Charity Cloud” program through effective promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, striving to meet individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures meticulous and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments for sales and donations.
Operational Checks and Reporting
- Performs thorough pre-flight checks to verify the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items prior to take-off, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in overseeing aircraft cabin cleanliness at transit stations and ensures adequate re-catering and duty-free product replenishment before subsequent flights.
- Manages orderly cabin handover/takeover procedures with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Conducts post-flight briefings and assessment reports in accordance with company policies, providing objective evaluations, reporting flight discrepancies, and ensuring secure closure and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reports on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and assumes Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety competency through continuous engagement in recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and by ensuring all licenses remain current.
- Contributes actively to team success by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements

- Age:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: Cabin Crew - 28 years; Lead Cabin Crew - 36 years
- Education:
- Attested Secondary School Certificate (SSC) / O-Level with equivalency certificate.
- Attested Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) / A-Level with equivalency certificate.
- Documents:
- Valid CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)
- Valid Passport
- Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Proficiency in other languages is highly advantageous.
- Physical Standards:
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
- Weight: Must be proportionate to age and height.
- Skin: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties.
- Experience:
- Fresh candidates are eligible to apply for the Cabin Crew position.
- Only experienced Cabin Crew members may apply for the Lead Cabin Crew position.
