Senior Flight Simulator Instructor
Main Objective of the Role
Flydubai is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Flight Simulator Instructor to ensure all mandated pilot training is conducted on flydubai simulators. This pivotal role is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety and operational excellence, adhering strictly to GCAA requirements and flydubai's comprehensive training programme standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts advanced pilot training on flydubai simulators for the issuance, revalidation, and renewal of Instrument Ratings, particularly for pilots holding or having held an IR on Boeing 737 aircraft and possessing an Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) qualification.
- Proactively assesses training procedures against the Operations Manual and flydubai's operating policies, providing critical insights to management for continuous improvement and gap resolution.
- Offers expert oversight and essential guidance to flight crew regarding updates to operating procedures, ensuring immediate adoption and understanding.
- Identifies and proposes innovative improvements to operating procedures, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and elevate safety standards across the fleet.
- Ensures the timely completion, proper administration, and accurate filing of all required training documentation with relevant teams.
- Provides constructive and timely feedback on pilot performance to management, facilitating the swift resolution of any performance issues through tailored remedial actions.
- Rigorously evaluates and thoroughly documents pilots' performance during training sessions, ensuring all progress reports are meticulously filed and maintained.
- Develops and recommends bespoke remedial training programmes, carefully tailored to address the specific training needs of individual pilots.
- Executes and meticulously documents the outcomes of all mandated simulator training and flight training device sessions, as stipulated in the relevant OMD1.
- Collaborates effectively with the recruitment team by evaluating pilot competence in the simulator and completing comprehensive new hire assessment reports, thereby supporting the selection of highly skilled and knowledgeable flight crew.
- Contributes to the broader pilot training programme through various office duties, project management, course development, and potentially delivering ground school lectures.
Qualifications and Experience
- A High School Diploma is required.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication in a diverse aviation environment.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 2000 hours of total flight time experience, including at least 1500 hours as a pilot on multi-pilot aircraft.
- A minimum of 7-9 years of relevant aviation experience is required, demonstrating a deep understanding of flight operations and training methodologies.

Information Security Requirements (ISR)
The incumbent is expected to fully comply with all Company ISR (Information Security Requirements) policies, diligently reporting any observed weaknesses or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Active participation in all required ISR awareness sessions and adherence to associated guidelines in day-to-day business operations are mandatory.
