Hawker 800 First Officer - East Coast Based
Position Overview
Alliance Aviation Group, LLC, a premier private aviation company, is actively recruiting for a dedicated and proficient Hawker 800 First Officer. This full-time, home-based position is located along the East Coast and reports directly to the Chief Pilot. The First Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and exceptional service standards of all flight operations under the Wing Aviation Group FAA Part 135 certificate.
Alliance Aviation Group encompasses Wing Aviation Group (FAA Part 135 Charter), Wing Aviation Maintenance (MRO services), and Encore Plane Parts (Aircraft Parts Sales). This integrated structure provides a comprehensive suite of services to clients in aircraft sales, management, charter, maintenance, parts, and consulting.
Role Objective
The Hawker 800 First Officer is instrumental in delivering an outstanding customer experience through a friendly, calm, and confident demeanor. This role necessitates close coordination with the Captain and other flight crew members to communicate flight activities effectively and to uphold the highest standards of flight safety.
Essential Job Functions
- Execute comprehensive flight planning, utilizing all pertinent weather information and reports in strict adherence to Company policies, procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Verify aircraft airworthiness in accordance with FARs and Company protocols, completing all requisite preflight inspections.
- Ensure all flights are adequately planned and fueled for safe and compliant operations.
- Safely, proficiently, and effectively operate the aircraft during assigned duty periods, following the Captain’s instructions and all applicable FARs and Company policies.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the aircraft equipment operated, governing FARs, and all relevant manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Proactively inform crew and passengers of any turbulent weather conditions or operational factors impacting the flight.
- Accurately complete load manifests for each flight.
- Contribute to reliable and punctual operations by adhering to all report times, departure schedules, and minimum turn times.
- During terminal operations, assist in the proper and safe handling of the aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo.
- Maintain consistent and dependable attendance in accordance with Company procedures.
- Present a professional image and adhere to the Company’s uniform dress code.
- Conduct oneself professionally at all times while on duty, observing the Rules of Conduct as outlined in the Flight Operations Manual and Employee Handbook.
- Actively pursue continuous professional development to enhance performance and skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Company and Chief Pilot.
Qualifications and Requirements
Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and crawling.
- Capacity to remain seated for extended periods.
- Capability to lift or move items weighing up to 75 pounds at varying heights.
- Adherence to FAA visual and medical standards.
- Ability to clearly hear verbal communications in person, via telephone, and over a headset amidst ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Possession of stamina required for long workdays, sequential duty periods, and exposure to frequent changes in temperature, climate, and weather conditions.
- Ability to move freely, effectively, and quickly within the confined space of the aircraft to perform all required functions.
- Ability to sit in the pilot's seat or assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in a comparable First Officer role.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must meet all hiring minimums within six (6) months of the interview date.
- No certificate actions recorded since the date of the interview.
- No misdemeanors or felonies recorded since the date of the interview.
- Availability to accept a class date within six (6) months of the interview date.
Language Skills
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, interpreting, and understanding technical procedures and governmental regulations, often under pressure or in emergency situations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from management, dispatch, crew, passengers, air traffic control, and the public.
- Clear and comprehensible verbal communication in English, including the ability to issue shouted commands during emergencies.

- Aptitude for solving practical problems and addressing a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Capacity to interpret diverse instructions presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
