A Flight Instructor at FlightSafety International delivers exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction. This role is crucial in ensuring training adheres to stringent aviation regulations and FlightSafety’s established training principles.
This position specifically requires expertise in rotorcraft. Previous rotorcraft experience is a mandatory prerequisite. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

The role requires the ability to use hands for controls and manipulation; reach with hands and arms; and communicate effectively through speech and hearing. Tasks may involve standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and tasting or smelling. Specific physical demands include the ability to reach, exert pressure, and manipulate rudder/anti-torque controls with both feet; reach and manipulate controls within the simulator from the instructor chair; enter and exit the simulator via a ramp; move between instructor station, screen, and podium in a classroom; and exit a malfunctioned simulator in a potentially severely pitched attitude. Specific vision abilities needed are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The work environment frequently involves working near moving mechanical parts. The employee may occasionally work in high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, and may be exposed to wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, risk of electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.
