FlightSafety International is seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to serve as a Simulator Second in Command (SIC). This role is crucial in providing essential support during pilot training sessions for both internal and external customers. The Simulator SIC maintains currency in assigned aircraft programs to effectively act as Second-in-Command for pilots undertaking Recurrent, Initial, or generic training courses within established curricula.
The Simulator Second in Command is responsible for:
Education: High school diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency (G.E.D.) combined with two to three (2-3) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Prior to commencing SIC duties, applicants must possess a Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate category, class, and instrument ratings, demonstrating a minimum of 450 flight hours. Required certificates must be in possession before starting an SIC assignment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. The role may require standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting, and smelling.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The work environment frequently involves working near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally, the employee may work in high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, and be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration. The typical noise level in the work environment is moderate.
