Job Summary
FlightSafety International, a global leader in professional aviation training, seeks a qualified Pilot Instructor to conduct simulator-based training for U.S. Air Force and Allied Nation KC-46 Pilots. This role involves instructing and evaluating student progress in various training curricula, ensuring the highest standards of technical acumen and proficiency.
Responsibilities

Conduct Quarterly Refresher training using simulators, classrooms, Computer-based Training (CBT), and KC-46 aircraft.

Provide ground-based training for aircrew members in tanker and receiver operating procedures, including diagnosing and remediating student issues.

Conduct Initial and Recurring training for maintenance personnel in Engine Run courses.

Perform pre-briefings, debriefings, and counseling for aircrew and maintenance personnel to enhance technical skills and student proficiency.

Extract and analyze student data, preparing reports for review sessions.

Serve as a KC-46 Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Maintain exceptional instructional standards, knowledge, and expertise.

Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of KC-46 aircraft systems and operating procedures.

Apply instructional principles and theories effectively in aircrew training systems.

Contribute to courseware corrections, modifications, and updates to training policies and procedures.

Assist with assigned project and development work.

Operate the Student Management System.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education, experience, and training is required.
Minimum Experience
-
Experience as a qualified Tanker Air-to-Air Refueling (AAR) Pilot Flight Instructor or as a Tanker AAR Aircrew Training System (ATS) Pilot Instructor within the last 5 years.

Logged a minimum of 200 flying hours in U.S. Air Force or Allied Nation aircraft, or equivalent flight simulator, with at least 50% in the aircraft.

Receiver AAR Instructor experience is highly desirable.

Type rating in B-767 is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to interface with students and provide on-the-spot remediation or alternative solutions.

Basic knowledge of personal computers and software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Ability to successfully accomplish an annual internal standardization evaluation.

Currently possess, or demonstrate the ability to obtain, a SECRET clearance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Must possess close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
