Position Summary
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking an exceptional and highly qualified Cabin Attendant to join a dedicated crew for a new Global 6000 aircraft. Based in Oxford, CT (KOXC), this pivotal role holds responsibility for ensuring the utmost welfare, safety, and service for passengers. The Cabin Attendant will contribute to a long-standing EJM account, which operates both the Global 5000V and the new Global 6000, conducting flights under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a professional team, supported by 7 pilots and 2 dedicated maintenance technicians, committed to delivering unparalleled private aviation experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates all pre-flight activities, ensuring the proper maintenance status of emergency equipment, impeccable cabin cleanliness, meticulous stocking of the aircraft, and precise catering orders onboard.
- Reports directly to the assigned Pilot in Command for all scheduled trip duties.
- Ensures strict compliance with all Federal Air Regulations (FARs) and confirms passenger adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Maintains exemplary proficiency and currency as a Part 91 or Part 91/135 qualified crewmember.
- Conducts thorough emergency and service briefs prior to each flight leg, diligently ensuring the cabin is secure before taxi.
- Adheres meticulously to the General Operations Manual, all company policies, and procedures, including the Travel & Entertainment Policy for Crewmembers.
- Delivers the highest level of customer service to owners and charter passengers, warmly greeting all passengers and accurately confirming the passenger manifest.
- Cultivates a first-class in-flight environment by expertly preparing meals, attentively addressing passenger needs, and maintaining an orderly cabin throughout the flight.
- Upholds the company’s stringent goals for safety, security, and quality through continuous compliance with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and proactive reporting of any safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Demonstrated experience in customer service is required; fine dining and culinary meal planning experience is strongly preferred.
- Possesses excellent verbal communication skills.
- Exhibits a willingness to work irregular and potentially long hours in accordance with dynamic flight schedules.
- Must meet and successfully complete the rigorous EJM Cabin Attendant Training Program.
- Holds current certification to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and in the proper usage of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Is proficient with all aircraft emergency equipment and possesses comprehensive knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Is knowledgeable in safe food handling procedures.
- Capable of proper cleaning and laundering of all cabin linens and serving ware.
- Possesses the ability to operate all entertainment systems and equipment on board the aircraft, as well as perform basic troubleshooting.
- Responsible for the meticulous purchase and stocking of cabin supplies and catering from bakeries, markets, and restaurants.
- Residency Requirement: Qualified candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour radius from Oxford, CT (KOXC) airport.
- Mandatory Training: Qualified applicants must possess current Flight Safety or Aircare FACTS training, to include "Abnormal and Emergency Procedures" and expertise in all areas of cabin systems and operations.
- Preference: Preference will be given to local candidates with prior experience working on large cabin aircraft.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range: The base salary range for this large/heavy/premium cabin attendant position is competitive, ranging from $60,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
