Challenger 300 Second in Command Pilot
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified Second in Command Pilot for a Challenger 300 aircraft. EJM has been a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, built on the core principles of safety, service, and integrity.
The Second in Command Pilot is responsible to the Chief Pilot for the safe and efficient execution of assigned flight duties. The role also reports to the Pilot in Command (PIC) of a scheduled trip for all duties assigned by the PIC for that specific flight. The position is based in Jacksonville, FL (KJAX), requiring the successful candidate to reside within a 1-2 hour driving distance. This is a four-pilot account, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 135 regulations. The Second in Command Pilot is responsible for the welfare of passengers in all aspects of cabin safety and service and must be proficient in abnormal and emergency procedures, as well as all areas of cabin systems and operations.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform pilot duties in accordance with the Company General Operations Manual (GOM), FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other relevant instructions.
- Ensure the company's safety, security, and quality goals are met through continuous compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations through the appropriate channels.
- Oversee the post-flight inspection and cleaning of the aircraft interior, including the removal of debris from the cockpit, disposal of ice, coffee, and catering, and reporting any interior equipment discrepancies to the PIC.
- Arrange and obtain necessary cabin items, including catering, as identified by the Flight Operations Center.
- Provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
- Coordinate work schedules and schedule changes with the Chief Pilot, accurately log and report flight and duty times, and report all commercial flying performed outside the Company to the Flight Operations Center for inclusion in Flight and Duty Time Records.
- Maintain a valid First Class Medical Certificate and provide a copy to the Flight Operations Training Department by the 20th of each month.
Years of Experience:
2-4 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple and high-level priorities effectively.
- Proactive decision-making skills.
- Must maintain a valid Medical certificate.
- Will be required to obtain an FAA Type rating in the applicable Fleet type.
- Ability to uphold a high service standard within a strict and evolving regulatory environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Total flight time: 2500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 500 hours
- Instrument: 150 hours
- Jet: 250 hours
- Turbine Engine: 100 hours
- Time in Type: 50 hours
