Second in Command - Challenger 300 - Jacksonville, FL
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, has been a pioneering force in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977. Rooted in the core principles of safety, service, and integrity, EJM seeks a qualified Second in Command for a Challenger 300 aircraft based in Jacksonville, FL (KJAX). The successful candidate will contribute to the safety and well-being of passengers, demonstrating proficiency in cabin safety, service, systems, and operations. This position supports a four-pilot account with a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 135 regulations. The Second in Command is responsible to the Chief Pilot for all assigned duties related to safe and efficient flight operations, and to the Pilot in Command (PIC) for specific duties assigned for each scheduled trip.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pilot duties in accordance with the Company GOM, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other relevant instructions.
- Ensure the company's safety, security, and quality goals are met through continuous compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations.
- Manage post-flight aircraft interior duties, including removing debris, ice, coffee, and catering, and reporting any interior equipment discrepancies to the PIC.
- Arrange and obtain necessary cabin items, including catering, as identified by the Flight Operations Center, while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
- Coordinate work schedules and changes with the Chief Pilot, log and report flight and duty times, and report all external commercial flying to the Flight Operations Center.
- Maintain and provide a copy of his/her First Class Medical Certificate to the Flight Operations Training Department by the 20th of each month.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong prioritizing and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-level priorities.
- Proactive decision-making skills.
- Must maintain a valid Medical certificate.
- Must obtain an FAA Type rating in the applicable Fleet type.
- Ability to uphold a service standard in a strict and changing regulatory environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
Minimum Flight Hour Requirements:
- Total flight time: 2500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 500 hours
- Instrument: 150 hours
- Jet: 250 hours
- Turbine Engine: 100 hours
- Time in Type: 50 hours
