Challenger 300 Second in Command Pilot

Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a qualified Second in Command Pilot for a Challenger 300 aircraft based in Jacksonville, FL (KJAX). The Second in Command Pilot is responsible to the Chief Pilot for the performance of all assigned duties involved in the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments. The pilot is also responsible to the assigned Pilot in Command (PIC) of a scheduled trip for all duties assigned by the PIC for that trip. The successful candidate will ensure the welfare of passengers in all aspects of cabin safety and service and will be trained and proficient in the appropriate portions of abnormal and emergency procedures, as well as all areas of cabin systems and operations. This is a four-pilot account supported by a Maintenance Technician flying under Part 135 regulations. Crew for this account must reside within a 1-2 hour drive of Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pilot duties in accordance with the Company General Operations Manual (GOM), FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other instructions pertinent to their duties.
  • Ensure the company's goals for safety, security, and quality are met through continual compliance with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program. Report any safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations through the appropriate process.
  • Responsible for the post-flight of the aircraft interior, including the removal of debris from the cockpit area, removal of ice, coffee, and catering, and reporting any interior equipment discrepancies to the PIC.
  • Arrange and obtain cabin items, including catering, as required for a flight, as identified by the Flight Operations Center. Provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
  • Coordinate all work schedules and schedule changes with the Chief Pilot. Log and report flight and duty times. Report all commercial flying performed outside the Company to the Flight Operations Center for inclusion in the Flight and Duty Time Records.
  • Maintain and provide the Flight Operations Training Department with a copy of their First Class Medical Certificate by the twentieth (20th) of the month due.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Strong prioritizing and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple and high-level priorities.
  • Proactive decision-making skills.
  • Must maintain a valid Medical certificate.
  • Required to obtain an FAA Type rating in the applicable Fleet type.
  • Upholds a service standard in a strict and changing regulatory environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Minimum Flight Time Requirements:

  • Total flight time: 2500 hours
  • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
  • Pilot in Command: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 150 hours
  • Jet: 250 hours
  • Turbine Engine: 100 hours
  • Time in Type: 50 hours
